New Jersey Elks Vocational Scholarship: The winners of this scholarship competition will each receive a one-time $1000.00 award. There will be two $1000.00 Vocational Scholarships (one male, one female) awarded in the South Central District.

It is for students who have completed their secondary education requirements and plan to attend or are attending a post-secondary school to pursue a certificate or credential in a vocational or technical program. Post-secondary schools include vocational or technical schools. Students attending a two year community college are also eligible as long as they are pursuing a certificate or credential. Students planning to earn an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree are not eligible for this scholarship program.

This scholarship is available to graduating high school students or within one year of earning a high school diploma or a G.E.D. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of New Jersey on the date that the application is submitted. Applications may be submitted from March 1st to June 15th this year. Applications should be sent to your local Elks Lodge where you reside for submission. New Jersey Elks Family Scholarship: These $750.00 scholarships are available to children, grand-children and great-grandchildren (step-children, step-grandchildren and step-great-grand-children) of New Jersey Elks. High school seniors as well as college freshman, sophomores, and juniors can apply. A student should apply each year of eligibility. It runs from April 15th to June 30th each year. Most Valuable Student: is open to high school seniors who are United States citizens. Applicants need to have taken the SAT or ACT, and they do not need to be related to any member of the Elks.

Legacy Award is open to children and grandchildren of a living Elk member.

Emergency Educational Grants provide college financial assistance to children of deceased or totally disabled Elks. The grant is for educational assistance only and is not intended to cover the entire cost of a college education.
